Reportedly cardinals are drawn to the food. This was part of a gift along with a bird feeder.
It got eaten rather quickly, and we bought an economical bird seed but was not as good as this first package. Just purchased a bird feeder. I highly recommend this bird seed, keeping in mind that it is not the cheapest alternative out there. This brand did not leave a lot of shells on the ground, whereas the value brand did. Had no idea the birds went through seed so quickly. I bought this brand because it said it attracted a wide variety of birds.
The bird feeder is empy every morning. Birds can't get enough of it.
